What is the length of time most liposuction patients stay in the hospital?
The vast majority of patients (except for patients who have undergone ‘megaliposuction’) are actually able to return home on the day of surgery. Our plastic surgeon will check in on you after the procedure is complete to ensure your comfort and preparation for the period of recovery. A plan for your post-operative self-care will also be provided to you along with contact details that will be accessible to you 24 hours a day to ensure that you have peace of mind and can recover comfortably and safely at home
What does my aftercare involve?
Dr. Reddy will see you throughout your recovery period. Following discharge from the hospital, you will be reviewed again in our clinic approximately 5-10 days later. All dressings and sutures will be removed at this visit. It is recommended that you continue to wear your compression garment for a total of 6 weeks as this will optimise your liposuction results. You will continue to be reviewed until both Dr. Reddy and you are completely satisfied with your results and progress.
